PRESENTING YOUR WORK

If you are presenting your paper in the technical sessions, please, follow the instructions below.

  1. Papers will be presented in virtual technical sessions, streamed live to YouTube;

  2. On most days and times, there will be two parallel sessions (A and B);

  3. Papers will be presented following a "PechaKucha" scheme:

    • PechaKucha is a presentation scheme where a presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds total), explaining each one.

    • This is a rapid pace, objective, concise presentation style and can be used to highlight the main points of your research. This presentation style was deemed appropriate for the (now) virtual format of the conference, where long videos can be tiresome. Check this website for more information on PechaKucha.

    • All attendees will have early access to your full paper, and will be able to ask questions in the Q&A Slot;

    • For preparing your slides, please download and use this template.

  4. Find in the final conference program the session where your paper is scheduled for presentation;

  5. You MUST upload your slides (PPTX file) on this form until 15 AUG 2020;

  6. Before (about 5 minutes) the start of your session, login on the StreamYard site using the URL the conference organizers will direct you to;

  7. During your live presentation, the slides will be shown by the session host. They will be auto advanced after 20 seconds (or earlier, by request);

  8. After a block of 4 to 6 papers, there will be an Q&A slot for questions made using the YouTube chat. The session chair will collect, select and ask these questions to te respective presenters. Please, be very direct and concise when answering;

  9. Session will be recorded and made available on the conference YouTube channel.

  10. Go to the Conference Moodle System, locate the forum of your technical session and answer any posted questions directed to your paper.
